What is ArkALMIGHTY?

ArkALMIGHTY is a good deeds program that matches up the needs in our congregation with the talents and skills of the members of our church. Gathering the needs of our attendees, these requests are compiled on a special website administered by our church. Then, the members of our church can easily search through the needs and find ways they can help.

The ArkALMIGHTY.com website is designed to enable our congregation to easily get involved in practical and tangible volunteer outreach. Can you balance a checkbook? Can you hang a picture frame? Can you rake leaves? You might not think of these everyday activities as volunteering, but for the people around you who can’t do them, your ability and your willingness to help is exactly what they need. You’d be amazed how a simple act of kindness can change lives.

Post a need. It’s easy and it’s anonymous. The only people who have access to your personal information are the person who agrees to help you and the church administrator who oversees the site – personal contact information is NOT displayed on the website. No one will know which person has what need.

  • Click on the ArkALMIGHTY logo above to go to the web site.
  • Click on "Submit a need" on your church’s ArkALMIGHTY home page. This will take you to a web page where you enter:
    • Your contact information (this is NOT displayed on the website)
    • A brief description of the need (e.g. "I need a weekly ride to the doctor" or "My air conditioner is broken. Can you help?")
    • A detailed description of the need.
  • Click "Submit". The need is then sent to the administrator who approves the request. The need is then posted.

Fulfill a need. Church members can scroll through the list of posted needs on your ArkALMIGHTY web page and easily volunteer to help.

  • Once you have found a need that you would like to fulfill, press "Click here to help". This will take you to a web page where you enter:
    • Your contact information (personal information is NOT displayed on the website)
    • A brief description as to how you can help (e.g. "I can fix your broken air conditioner – I’m a contractor.")
  • Click "Fulfill". This information is then sent to the administrator for approval.
  • Once approved, an email is sent connecting both parties. This need on your web page will then automatically have a status of "Assigned".

Post a service. Church members may have a talent or ability that does not currently have a need. However, these posted skills may encourage people who have a need to request help. These services are posted on your church’s ArkALMIGHTY home page.

  • Click on "Submit a Service". This will take you to a web page where you enter your
    • Contact information (personal information is NOT displayed on the website)
    • A brief description of the service (e.g. "Math tutoring available")
    • A detailed description of their service.
  • Click "Submit". This service is then sent to the administrator for approval and posting to the web page.

Approve a need. Security is an important feature of ArkALMIGHTY. To ensure that only appropriate content is posted to your web page, the administrator must approve all postings of needs, fulfillments and services.

Confirm that a need has been fulfilled. A week after the initial email is sent connecting both parties, an automated follow-up email is sent out to see whether or not the need has been fulfilled.

  • If the need has been fulfilled either party can click "Completed" and fill out the box within the email with their success story. The web site will then change the status of the need from "Assigned" to "Completed."
  • If the need has not been completed, an automated reminder email will be sent to both parties each week until the need has fulfilled.

Share your successes stories. Members of your congregation will want to know about the great deeds happening among the church. You can post stories and photos of some of your successes on your web page for all to see.

  • To highlight successes on your web page, click "Your Stories" found in "Administration" and follow the posting instructions.
  • Check the box "Share with ArkALMIGHTY.com" when you post your story, and a copy of will be sent to the main ArkALMIGHTY.com web page administrator. Who knows? Maybe your success story will be shared with churches nationwide.

If you do not have a computer with internet service call Joe Phillis (734-2770) and he can post the need for you.
